Rain or shine, summer or winter? Well, we have some news for you! We’re going to take you step-by-step and teach you how to create classic s’mores from the comfort of your home. Equipment and Supplies:

Baking sheet, parchment paper, oven mitt, spatula, serving plates, graham crackers, milk chocolate bars, and regular-size marshmallows

Caution:

The oven along with the baking sheet after it comes out of the oven is extremely hot. Direct contact with either will result in burning.

Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C) on bake.

Step 2: Gather materials

  • Each s’more requires 1 whole graham cracker, 1 marshmallow, and 2 chocolate rectangles (broken off from the bar)
  • The amount of chocolate can vary based on preference
All the materials necessary to make the s’more gathered together.

Step 3: Cut a piece of parchment paper equal to or slightly larger in size than your baking sheet, and line your baking sheet with the parchment paper

Step 4: Break a graham cracker into 2 equal pieces and place 1 of the halves on your parchment paper

Step 5: Put the desired amount of chocolate on the graham cracker base

Two pieces of chocolate are placed on top of each of the graham crackers on the baking sheet.

Step 6: Place a marshmallow on top of the chocolate

Marshmallows are placed on top of the chocolate and graham crackers, ready to be put into the oven.

Step 7: Repeat steps 4-7 until you have as many s’mores as you desire

  • Note that all s’mores must fit within the baking sheet
  • S’mores should be placed at least 1 in. (2.5 cm.) apart from each other

Step 8: Once your oven has reached 400°F (205°C) place your baking sheet into the oven

  • Use caution, as the oven will be dangerously hot if you touch any parts inside

Step 9: Allow the s’mores to bake until the marshmallows are a golden brown color or until the chocolate is melted

  • Baking typically takes 3-5 minutes based on the amount of s’mores on the sheet

Step 10: When the s’mores are done baking, put your oven mitt on your hand and remove the baking sheet from the oven

  • The oven and baking sheet will be very hot, only touch the baking sheet with your hand wearing the oven mitt

Step 11: Place the baking sheet on your countertop to cool

  • Cooling will take approximately 5 minutes

Step 12: Cover the marshmallow with the other graham cracker half and lightly press down on the top

The second half of the graham cracker is placed on the rest of the baked s’more.

Step 13: Remove the s’mores from the baking sheet with a spatula and place on individual plates for serving

  • Even after cooling, the baking sheet may still be hot. Use caution.
